With only a few weeks to go until the New Year, this blog is dedicated to all of those 2024 weddings we can’t wait for! So, here’s some news, timescales and trends for the bride-to-be’s upcoming wedding.
Firstly, let’s talk about a few new collections and new additions we have coming to both of our stores.
We have some AMAZING gowns from Sophia Tolli, Ronald Joyce and Justin Alexander due. A mixture of dresses that are more traditional with a modern twist and some that are completely unique. Sparkly, lace, detachable and demure are just a few words to describe them. A few surprises are on their way to us early 2024 and we can’t wait to show you what’s coming our way.
We are definitely seeing some recurring themes in the designs from the last few collections, but also some new ideas that we know you’ll love.
Plus we’re taking on a brand new range of Mother of the Bride/Groom dresses in our Welwyn Garden City store. 26 dresses, a mixture of colours and sizes. A perfect addition as we already have the rest of the bridal party available, from our faves at Richard Designs and Emma Bridals.
Now, let’s talk about trends for 2024.
Unique wedding dresses are certainly very popular. Being able to really be your best self but through your wedding dress is an amazing thing. Whether it be floral patterns or an unusual colour, having a more unique dress can make some amazing photos and can be something your guests certainly remember. Alternatively, colourful veils are becoming more popular. For a veil that you would only wear for a short amount of time at your wedding, why not have something more unique and memorable. You can even get yours and your partner’s initials on the bottom of a veil.
Trending bridesmaid dresses for 2024 include mis-matched gowns, same colour but different shades and styles. It can look so powerful in photographs and can really help your bridesmaids feel comfortable wearing a dress all day and celebrating you saying ‘I DO’. Deep greens, pinks and even burnt orange are the go-to colours for 2024, with sage green still being popular
A trend that seems to be more popular recently is destination weddings. At least the weather can be more predictable than UK weather, but it can certainly be less stress. Many hotels have all-included packages where literally everything is included. The photographer, flowers and everything. Such a brilliant idea and whether it be mountains or beach, it can make for some absolutely stunning backgrounds in your wedding photographs.
Another popular trend and something good for the planet is having a sustainable wedding and embracing the natural beauty of your surroundings. Try using recyclable or reusable items and biodegradable confetti or glitter. It’s the small things that can help save our planet.
Neon signs and simple decor are certainly going to be popular for 2024 weddings. The idea of ‘less is more’ is becoming more popular and it can look so chic and modern rather than having the same thing at every wedding.
Pearls are also making a comeback. They’re classy, timeless and elegant. They can also tie everything in together, such as centrepieces or favours and then of course, your dress. It’s the subtle details that can make such an impact.
However, the most memorable weddings are the ones that truly reflect the couple so you just do you! It’s your big day!
